WEEKEND@LAST was formed with the sole purpose of handling fundraising events on behalf of children’s charity SAFE@LAST. 100% of profits from WEEKEND@LAST events are donated to its single shareholder SAFE@LAST; a registered charity working with and on behalf of young people at risk through running away.
SAFE@LAST was established in response to an acute need for services for the 1 in 9 children under the age of 16 in South Yorkshire who are affected by running away. SAFE@LAST provides a 24 hour helpline, ongoing one to one support, work to educate and inform children and young people about the risks and dangers of running away, support to young people on the streets or Sheffield and the only children’s refuge in England.
Since 2005 SAFE@LAST has provided one to one support to over 4000 young people and has made a difference to the lives of the great majority of them. They are seeing great results from their work, and as a result their staff and volunteers are receiving awards for their contribution to Social Care in South Yorkshire and being consulted for their expertise and knowledge in this area. SAFE@LAST is now delivering its services across all four boroughs in South Yorkshire and continues to strive for excellence resulting in the very best outcomes for young people. None of this would be possible without the wonderful support of the communities around us.
